Notebooks

Just a few quick notebooks I put together yesterday.  They are 3" x 4" Mead notebooks covered with some scraps I had laying around.  These are for me & my friends to write down things we want to talk about when we get together for lunch.  Sometimes we lose track of what we wanted to say.

Project of the Day

Boy, did I find a bargain last night.  I took a trip to Archivers and hit their 50% to 75% off table and look what I found.  This Scrapbook in a Box by S.E.I.  $5.00.  How can you beat that?  A friend of mine just had a little boy and I thought this would be the perfect gift.

I didn't realize how neat it was until I got it home & opened it.

Look what was inside:

It had precut pages with all of the embellishments and layouts for every page.  The backs of the papers had the layout numbers on them so that you could just follow the layouts and put it together.  How simple is that? These are the parts for the front page.

I'm going to add a couple of pics to show some completed pages.

Hopefully, my pictures are clear enough.  This was such a cute album.  I have to admit that I went back to Archivers & picked up the last two girl albums.  It is very similiar to the boy kit, but with pink & orange colors and embellishments.

"Crackle" ATC

It has been a long time again.  This was my January ATC card for a swap on Cricut.com.  I was using old supplies again, so I really don't have all of the information I should have for this card.  But, I think this will just be a look at it kind of post.

The theme this month was "Crackle".  I went the easy route & used paper that looked crackled.  I have had it for years & I think it was part of a stack.  At some point I separated my stacks by color so I'm not sure where this one came from.  I used Cricut DS to design the window with the George cartridge.  I placed the window over embossed vellum on top of the same crackle paper.  Then I placed the flowers in the corner of the window & covered with another piece of the crackle paper.

Tangerine w/Tearing C.O.M

Whew it's been a while since I've posted.  Let's see if I remember how to do this.

This card is for the Card of the Month swap on the Cricut MB.  This month starts my used up all of the supplies that I already have instead of buying new.  I'm sure the scrapbooking industry is going to take a big hit this year.

The card idea is from a magazine called Paper Crafts Remodeled issued as a special mag from Paper Crafts Magazine. I've had the magazine forever so I thought I better use it for something.

Anyway, the card size is 4.25" x 5.5".  I used a paper pack I purchased quite a few years ago.  The store has been closed at least two years.  It is the 8 x 8 Resort Collection from Cloud 9 Design.  The stamp is from a $1 collection.  I'm sorry I'm not sure what it is, because I moved all of my clear stamps to a binder never thinking I would need the company names etc.  If you recognize the stamp you will know that it is also another very old purchase that has never been used.  I used Versamark to stamp & then I used Terra Cotta embossing powder from Stamp-n-stuff.  The powder was also an old purchase.  This was the very first embossing powder purchase I made years ago.  It was on sales for $1.25 & I thought I would just try something new.  Huh first time I used that particular embossing powder for anything.
